The Need
- The VollayT V2000 Suite Thermal break Window System (TBWS) has been developed
to provide a range of energy efficient window and door solutions when shading
options are not a suitable solution.
- To be available in a range of fixed, sliding, folding, awning and casement systems
and when combined with double glazing and thermal break technology, dramatically
reduce incoming heat either from direct or latent sources, reduce energy loss and
external noise.
- To be available in a range of surface finishes that stand the test of time and comply
with Australian Standards.
Design Brief
- The ideal system would be required to cover the full range of window applications
while achieving superior levels of thermal efficiency of a building.
- With the efficient use of the aluminium sections and using Thermal Break Technology,
it is important to be able to contain both initial building costs and reduce the energy
costs of the building on an ongoing basis.
- To have a range of window types including Fixed, Sliding, Folding, Awning and
Casement in a commercial frame size that is 100mm deep and able to accommodate
Double Glazed Glass.
- To provide an energy-efficient solution where external louvres are not viable and can
interfere with window cleaning and maintenance programmes.
Solution
- The VollayT V2000 Suite TBWS provides a superior level of energy efficiently at
economical pricing.
- This System will have its glazing located at the front face of the section which will be
either 100, or 150mm deep. The frame will be joined with stainless steel fixings, sealed
with silicon to the corners and joints and complemented with a sub head and sill.
- All frames, fixed and moving inner frames are manufactured from a two piece design
with the inner and outer aluminium extrusion separated by a nylon 'dual web' which
stops the transfer of ambient temperature between the sections.
- The Glass Receiving Channel has a range of snap-in bead and UV resistant gaskets
which allow the use of either standard glass types or our double glazing system.
- All seals and draft seals are to by made from silicon impregnated UV resistant material
to ensure a superior level of both water resistance and noise dampening.
Specification
- The Vollay V2000 Suite TBWS will be supported with a full range of both written
specifications and technical drawings which will be available either via our website in a
PDF format or upon request.
- Due to the numerous variations which this system offers we have noted examples of
the more popular options which can be further refined to your needs. The VollayT
V2000 Suite TBWS provides solutions to reduce heat gain/loss to suit individual building
locations where external shading options are not suitable.
THIS PRODUCT IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING FINAL TESTING AND WILL BE
