The Need
- The Vollay V3000 Suite Concealed Gear System (CGS) has been developed to provide an aluminium
shutter range with clear lines and without the conventional Blade Tilting Rod.
- To be able to adjust a bank of louvres by operating one Blade into the desired position by hand.
- To be available in a range of surface finishes that stands the test of time and complies with Australian
Standards.
Design Brief
- Have the option to draw from a wide range of Aerofoil Blade widths to develop a look to complement
any building or match existing panels.
- The Blades to have 2 operating options, providing the ideal ventilation, shading and screening option for
the window.
- Be supported by a range of full length Angles which allow the panels to be bracketed to the external
wall to allow installation in either a vertical or horizontal plane.
Solution
- The control of the Blades is via a Cam and Aluminium Rod System concealed inside the Stile. This allows
up to 20 Blades to be operated as one and removes the potential 'jam points' for little fingers.
- The system has a choice of four blade sizes, 55, 68, 90 and 115mm.
- The V3000 CGS offers a choice of 95º and 135º Blade rotations. The 95º option can either close up or
down from the horizontal. In the 'closed down' position there is a level or water resistance when you use
a full length angle across the top of the panel. These options when opened to the horizontal provide a
level of privacy blocking the line of sight from either above or below the panel. The 135º option offers
the same water resistance, privacy and allows the winter sun to stream in and reflect light into the room.
- This product is supported by a range of full length angle which allows the panels to be bracketed to the
external wall to allow installation in either a vertical and horizontal plan.
- The Blade's mechanism is concealed inside the extruded Aluminium Stile and comes in either a 60x40mm
or a 50x50mm option to achieve the desired look.
Specification
- The VollayT V3000 CGS is supported with a full range of both written specifications and technical
drawings which are available either via our web site in a PDF format or upon request.
- Due to the numerous variations, we have listed the more popular options and with our Sun Tracking
Software, you can further refine them to your needs.
