The Need
  • The VollayT V7000 SBS 200mm was developed to provide an operable Aluminium Roofing System for roof areas with pitches of more than 6º.
  • Designed to expand the options offered for a totally water resistant alfresco roofing system.
  • To combine harmoniously with the wide range of other VollayT Louvre and Screening products.
  • To be available in a range of surface finishes that stand the test of time and comply with Australian Standards.
Design Brief
  • Must have a Blade profile that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Design the Blade so that rain is deflected with little or no noise making it pleasant to live under.
  • The System when in place must be waterproof and drain efficiently.
  • The V7000 SBS must be able to operate autonomously or connect to a range of control systems.
Solution
  • The V7000 SBS Blades are manufactured from extruded aluminium to AS1866:1997 and the design allows for the System to span up to 3,000mm unsupported.
  • The extrusion features interlocking sections on both the top and bottom lips. The lower lip incorporates a UV resistant seal which fits into the top of the Blade below. The seal forms part of a water resistant join and also eliminates 'wind rattle' from the metal to metal contact.
  • At either end, the Blades rotate on Stainless Steel Pivots which operate within a UV resistant Bush, ensuring years of trouble-free operation.
  • The Blades are operated by a connecting shaft which incorporates our unique Patent Pending Tensioning System which holds the Blades together under tension to provide the optimum water resistant Louvre closure.

  • All moving parts are either non corrosive aluminium, stainless steel or heavy duty UV resistant plastics.
  • Supported by a full range of VollayT Automation and Sun Tracking Software to provide a very reliable, technically advanced roofing/shading system.
